Photographic proof of the fate of Laxey MER Station's kiosks has surfaced on Facebook.

Suzanne Dougherty commented: "It just seems so wrong. There has been a lots of money spent thus far, yet these two lovely huts seemed to be abandoned. I just wondered what it was all about, as these huts are part of the beauty of the stations, and they are being left to rot. They didn't look this bad last summer on the station. I don't remember them being open but as stage props from the station, they looked better than this. Is this another example looking after our heritage so-called?"

Paul Mylchreest: "Surely the forestry board could donate some slab wood (the trimmings of tree trunks two square of the timber) two reroof these huts and get them back in situ where they belong??"

Chris Callow: "I feel a campaign coming on."

Dave Lewin: "Campaign away. I'm in."

Robert Cannell: "Having been overlooked in the funding of the recent tarting up at the station, this is how they store important bits of heritage, whilst awaiting funds to repair them!"
