Chance to see rare locos at Port Erin Station

Steam railway locomotives that are currently out of service can be seen working at Port Erin Station this weekend.

No. 13 Kissack, No. 3 Pender and even No. 1 Sutherland will be amongst those running around the tracks on a specially built model railway! No. 2 Derby, which full size loco was scrapped in 1951, is also amongst the live-steam model locomotives.

Isle of Man Railways is delighted that Brian and Susan Caton have kindly brought the model railway over from North Yorkshire. Their Isle of Man Railway will fill the waiting room at Port Erin.

The model railway will be operating for four days only, from Friday to Monday (18 to 21 July 2014) from 10am until 4pm. It will feature a total of 10 locomotives, all around 11 centimetres long, traveling on the model railway lines to St Germain’s Station.

Admission is free.
