The new Department of Infrastructure Minister is Tim Crookall MHK. He took up this role following Dr Michelle Haywood's decision to step down. It's the third time Mr Crookall has been head of this department.
The departure of Dr Haywood and the appointment of Mr Crookall followed a ministerial reshuffle undertaken by Chief Minister Alf Cannan on 19th January.
Mr Crookall, is a Member of the House of Keys for Glenfaba and Peel.
The Island's Department of Infrastructure was originally created in April 2010 from the Department of Transport, and has a wide range of responsibilities including the Manx Electric Railway, Snaefell Mountain Railway, horse trams, steam railway, and the Isle of Man’s buses.
