Next year will mark 150 years for the heritage attraction

“The infrastructure minister says she's willing to step forward and see if she can extend the horse trams to the Sea Terminal.

Michelle Haywood says she's asked for the plans to be pulled out and her department is checking if it is fit for purpose, with a business case 'in progress'. Next year will mark 150 years for the heritage attraction."

Dr Heywood commented: "If I sit and try and make a business case for the horse trams, and if I extend them along to the Sea Terminal, how much money extra am I going to make? And does that fund it? The answer's probably no. But if I think with my heart and if I think with my heritage and responsibility head instead, then actually it starts to become one of those that I do feel that we have responsibility to do this, and I am willing to step forward and to champion, seeing if we can get that problem sorted."
