Cars 43 & 44 pass at the foot of Broadway, where it is proposed to terminate the tramway should the scheme be approved by Tynwald.

Isle of Man Newspapers and Manx Radio report that a scheme involving the truncation of the Horse Tramway at Broadway, as part of the £23m scheme to rebuild Douglas Promenade, is to go before this month's sitting of Tynwald. The proposal includes the removal of the track between the War Memorial and the Sea Terminal, “saving £750,000” as well as preserving parking.
