“The Department of Infrastructure says work is ongoing to develop a wheel-chair adapted tram for the Snaefell Mountain Railway.
It's after a resident with mobility issues told Manx Radio they struggled to come aboard the Island's heritage railway due to a lack of disabled access.
The DOI says: 'The heritage rail team are always available to help passengers using wheelchairs and those with limited mobility.
'The Manx Electric Railway has a wheelchair-adapted trailer, which does need to be pre-booked but has been carrying passengers successfully for some years.' “
