The summer season gets fully underway for Isle of Man Railways this weekend with Snaefell services commencing on Friday (27 March 2015).

The Easter holidays will see daily services on all three heritage railways with the first steam trains departing Douglas at 0950 and Manx Electric Railway trams leaving Douglas at 0940 to connect with the first Snaefell service. See the timetable for full details.

New Go Explore travel cards will also be phased in from this weekend. The smart cards featuring either railway or TT images can be purchased from main stations, the House of Manannan in Peel and the Welcome Centre at Douglas Sea Terminal. The cards offer unlimited travel on all scheduled bus and rail services for 1, 3, 5 or 7 days.

Alternatively a Go Explore Heritage card is available offering unlimited travel plus admission to all Manx National Heritage attractions for 5 days.

The cards are ideal for anyone wanting to tour the Island. They provide significant savings on standard bus and rail fares and can be re-used.

Please note, half fare is payable on Hullad Oie/Night Owl services on production of a Go Explore card.
