'Transport chiefs say remedial works to the line and safety checks are complete on Snaefell - and trams will begin running again.
A carriage parked at the summit slid down the track on Wednesday afternoon, and was virtually destroyed when it toppled off the line and broke up on the mountain side.
An investigation has begun while the crash scene and wreckage have been secured.
It's thought the empty tram car was parked on a slope before it hurtled downhill. Julian Nutter from the Manx Electric Railway Society says it's a scenario with obvious dangers '
